The first thing you’ll notice about the Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill is its sleek and compact design. This is a treadmill you’ll want to display at home and considering that it takes up little space, you can choose to store it in a closet, under a bed, or behind furniture. The running area measures a compact 17 x 45-inch. Weighing only 99lbs, you can fold and store it with ease.

Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill
(1) Spacious enough to accommodate most people
Even though the belt area measures by a mere 17 x 45-inch, this is actually good enough for most people. You can enjoy a comfortable workout within the belt area. However, if you have a larger body size, the running space may be slightly small. You can consider other models like Best Cardio Workout Treadmill which gives you wider belt area.
(2) High performance, compact treadmill
With 1.5-horsepower, this machine gives smooth belt flow and you can accelerate your workout up to 6mph. The machine can accommodate up to 250lbs and the console control is easy to operate. You can modify and maintain your workout with ease.
(3) No need for assemble
My cousin bought this model from Amazon and she was pleasantly surprised to find that the Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill came fully assembled. No need to sit through an hour-long assembly, my cousin immediately gave it a try. It works great and she is still using this model after 2 years.
(4) Not noisy at all
By comparison, this is a silent treadmill. It runs smoothly without unwanted sounds and I can enjoy music or television program with ease.
Samuel Chell (Verified Amazon Purchase reviewer) remarked:
“After using this for a couple of months, I’m raising my rating to 5 stars. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made, the only exercise machine that I look forward to using. You don’t need all of the extra programs, bells and whistle to get your heart pumping and your sweat glands pouring.”
You should give the Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill a try. You can get it from Amazon for only $600. Don’t hesitate on such a great product. If you would like to read my other reviews, check out Best Complete Feature Treadmill and Best Treadmill for Beginners.

I’ve come to equate the Horizon Fitness T91 Treadmill as a treadmill for advanced runners due to its ability to withstand vigorous workout sessions. This is one of the few treadmills you often find in gyms and clubs. That shows that this is a highly durable and quality treadmill.

Horizon Fitness T91 Treadmill
(1) Gives excellent performance with 2-horsepower
You can enjoy a good workout session with the smooth running 2-horsepower motor. This is the same motor often found in premium clubs and gyms. If long workout is your aim, then this is the best machine because the motor is able to generate sufficient power.
(2) Offers a variety of workout programs: Up to 9 programs
A variety of workout allows your body to burn more calories and keeps you away from feeling bored with repetitive workouts. There are 9 programs among which you can choose rolling hills, intervals, or manual workout.
(3) Belt cushioning gives comfortable workout
The ComfortZone air cell cushioning minimizes foot impact and prevents knee injury. Of course, you still need to wear appropriate footwear but the cushioning system helps to reduce body shock overall.
(4) Accommodates weight up to 275lbs
This Horizon Fitness T91 Treadmill supports up to 275lbs and is great for those who exceeded the 250lbs weight limit for some treadmills. You can safely use this treadmill for workouts and weight loss programs.
(5) Accurate calorie, clock, and distance monitor
The calorie, clock, and distance monitor is able to keep track of your progress with precision. With it, you can tell how much calorie you’ve burnt and the distance you’ve completed. These are great add-ons for a treadmill.
Sean Bryant (Amazon reviewer) commented:
“This machine offers a wide array of programs and diverse workouts. It was very easy to assemble and so far has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this machine to anyone in the market for a piece of fitness equipment.”
Act now to get an amazing deal from Amazon. You can get the Horizon Fitness T91 Treadmill for only $529 and enjoy a savings of $370. What better way to start your fitness regime other than a good treadmill bargain? Equipped with a 1.25-horsepower motor, Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill offers reasonably good performance and is highly suitable for beginners with a speed range of up to 10 miles per hour. You can also choose up to a 10 percent incline and the machine holds up to 250lbs of body weight. If you weigh more than that, then you should consider other treadmills to give you better support.

Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill
Fuss-free design and easy to operate
With this machine, you’ll find it easy to operate the console and track your time, speed, distance, and resistance level. You can adjust the settings easily with five quick keys. You can also choose between 4 preset programs: intervals, manual, rolling hills, and weight loss.
Durability is questionable
I bought the Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill in hope that it’ll work out fine but the LED display doesn’t seem to work after 2 months. Thankfully, it’s still under warranty and I managed to get it fixed without any problem. Since then, I’ve not really had any problems with this machine.
Overall, it is a machine good for beginners
As a beginner, you’ll want to familiarize using a treadmill. For that, you don’t really need a high-end, superb-performance machine. This is a machine I’ll get if I’m looking to do basic workouts.
E. Rainville (Amazon reviewer) commented:
“I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and have always been leary about buying a “cheap” home machine. This treadmill works great for home use. I was thoroughly impressed. I’m 230lbs and I can run on it with no problems! Great machine for the money!”
Get the Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill from Amazon for $399 and you get to save $200. Get this if you’re a beginner in treadmill workout. If you would like to check out other products I’ve reviewed, see Best Cardio Workout Treadmill and Best Treadmill for Advanced Runners.

Manufacturer of the Sole F80 Treadmill takes pride in offering a high-quality and user-friendly product. That claim is true because my brother owns this machine and he testifies of its excellent design. A high-performance machine equipped with 3-horsepower, this machine also gives a challenging speed of up to 12 miles per hour. I’ve given it a try and here’s what I think about this treadmill:

Sole F80 Treadmill
(1) Good injury-prevention features
The fact that it has a 3-second countdown before belt begins to move and that it takes 6 seconds to reach full speed gives you time to be ready for the workout. The last thing you need is to be caught by surprise and injure yourself (i.e. machine moves when you don’t expect it to).
(2) Has all the features of a regular machine, and MORE
Some parts come with lifetime warranty, which to say speaks of its excellent quality. Sole F80 Treadmill comes with the basics (heart rate and calorie tracking) and has extra feature to boot (1/4-mile digital track and peak-valley graph that corresponds to each program). Did I mention that it has a wireless chest strap to monitor heart rate? It’s just great!
(3) Hefty price, but a worthwhile investment
Although the machine sits on a above-average price range (>$1000), it is worth every penny because it performs superbly and has all the features you need for a good workout. It allows you to focus on the workout while the machine takes care of everything else, like monitoring your heart rate and playing your favorite music while you’re working out. A great buy indeed.
Mark Trevino (Amazon reviewer) sums it up well:
“If you are considering a folding treadmill for under $1,500.00, you should consider the Sole F80. Good product. Great value. Great warranty.”
Buy the Sole F80 Treadmill from Amazon now for only $1500 (original price: $2000). This is the best complete feature treadmill. If you would like to know what other treadmills I recommend, check out Best Value for Money Treadmill and Best Treadmill for Beginners.

I first used the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill at the local gym. I remember it’s almost always in use whenever I’m in the gym and I’ve heard many different people commented what a great machine this is. In fact, this is an award-winning treadmill and I find it to be really good for a cardio workout.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill
Burn more calories with intense cardio workout
The treadmill comes with 3-horsepower with up to 15 workout programs. This high-performance machine gives you a variety of workouts option goals, including calorie goal and distance goal. You can even personalize your workout with 2 custom programs.
Keeps an excellent track of your workout
With a heart rate monitoring system and BMI calculator, you’ll feel at ease knowing how your body measures up during each workout.
Provides comfort and good support
The Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill has a wide belt surface area and it is very well designed. I’m particular about stability and comfort- this machine wins my thumbs up for both features.
However,
This is a heavy and bulky machine
Stability and durability translates into solid weight and non-portable machine. It’s not exactly easy to fold up for storage. It you are looking to store the treadmill and take it out for easy assemble, you’ll probably want to consider other machines.
J Hamit (Amazon reviewer) had this to say about the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill:
“I believe the weight also makes it an extremely sturdy machine. I am a 200 pound guy, and the machine has no trouble handling me when I run. It is very smooth, reasonably quiet, and the 3.0 horsepower motor has no trouble handling inclines or running. I have had health club memberships in the past, and this machine is as good, if not better, than some of the “commercial quality” machines I have used.”
Overall, this is an excellent treadmill. I’d recommend getting the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill from Amazon for only $1299 and you get to enjoy a savings of up to $700. Considering that the machine ships for free, it’s a bargain!

For only $150, I had minimal expectations for the Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill. I’m happy to say that it met the most basic function of a home indoor treadmill: convenient workout at any time of the day. This is a self-powered treadmill and does not come with a motor. In other words, you get to set your own running pace but at the same time, you’re missing out on motorized machine benefits. If you’re on a really low budget, this machine should be your top choice.

Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill
It gives a satisfying workout
Although Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill doesn’t come with a motor, I’ve discovered that all you need is some practice on how to pace yourself on the machine. At first, you got to work harder to get it running. I must emphasize about warming up before doing this. You got to do some muscle stretching because if you aren’t properly paced, you run into the tendency of injuring yourself.
Easy to store and assemble
It’s really lightweight, weighing only 60lbs. You can easily fold it up for storage and take it out again later. I’d recommend this if you don’t have much space to spare and looking for a foldable treadmill. Other treadmills claim that they are foldable but the sheer weight makes it quite impossible. Folding for storage is definitely possible with this treadmill.
It gets a little loud sometimes
Compared to high-end machines, this treadmill may seem a little too loud for my liking. If noise isn’t your major concern, then this shouldn’t be a problem.
Happy Vintner bought this from Amazon and commented:
“I bought this treadmill because I don’t have room for a massive, professional size treadmill nor did I want to spend hundreds of dollars. Because of the price I was expecting a very pared down version – just the basics – and that’s what you get. It’s not difficult to put together and it feels very sturdy. It folds up like a dream (very compactly) and is light enough to move around if you need to.”
For only $150, this is the treadmill that gives you value for money. Consider buying from Amazon as they are offering the Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill for up to 40% discount ($95). All equipments and household tools can cause danger or hurt when not used properly. This is the same with treadmill. As treadmill becomes more popular in many households, many people are concerned about the injuries it can cause. Children especially, are prone to experience treadmill-related injuries. But, this can be avoided with a few simple precautionary steps. Here’s how you can avoid treadmill injuries:
(1) Wear appropriate clothing and shoe
It’s important to wear clothes that make you feel comfortable. For example, remember to check on your shoes because shock absorption decreases over time. To prevent knee injury, you got to have shoes that absorb walk impact well.
(2) Start slow and end slow
You got to warm up for each session. Start on a slow paced walk and gradually move to faster walking speed. Don’t make the mistake of choosing the highest speed at the start of the workout. You may end up straining your muscles. Same goes when you are coming to the end of your exercise. Slow down and allow your body to cool.
(3) Maintain a good posture
I’ve fallen off a treadmill and it’s because of 2 reasons: the treadmill was badly built and I had a bad posture. Combine these two and an injury is bound to happen. A good posture is when you stand up straight and keep your shoulders straight but relaxed. Remember, don’t slouch!
(4) Only work out on a well-built machine
As I’ve said earlier and in my post 5 Tips How to Choose the Best Treadmill, you must choose a stable machine that is able to support your weight. If you felt any tell-tale signs of rattling, immediately stop using until you get it fixed.
(5) Keep to a comfortable stride
Adjust the machine settings to get a good pace and match the workout with a natural stride. Your arms should swing to the pace of your legs and remain close to your body. If possible, avoid holding on to the handrail.
(6) Always listen to your body
Don’t ignore the signs your body sends you. If you feel excessive pain or unwell in any part of your body, stop and give yourself a rest. When you’ve overstrained your body you’ll probably need 2 days to recover. Your body can only take so many workouts at any one time.
(7) Last but not least, keep kids away from the machine
Kids are a curious bunch and they’ll want to know how a machine works. Once, I had a nephew who came over to my house and almost got himself hurt when he came as I was working out on the machine. Since then, I kept the machine folded away whenever I’m expecting kids. It’s also dangerous to leave cords lying around.
Well, here are 7 quick tips on how you can avoid treadmill injuries. If you would like to lose weight effectively using the treadmill, probably you’d like to check out How to Lose Weight Quickly (5 Treadmill Weight Loss Tips).

If you are reading this, it’s likely that you are looking forward to buy a treadmill. Choosing the best treadmill isn’t that difficult if you know what features to look for. Treadmill is one of the easiest and most convenient workout machines to use. That’s why I always head for the treadmill whenever I visited the gym with my brother, until one day I decided to buy the machine for use at home. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
There are many factors to consider when choosing the best treadmill. Here are 8 useful tips on how to choose the best treadmill:
1. Price range
Think of your purchase as an investment. I’d advise you to stick to a budget you can afford. In my experience, a high price doesn’t necessarily represent the best treadmill quality. Typically, treadmills can be divided into a few categories: (1) budget ($150-$500), (2) mid-range ($500-$1000) and (3) above-average ($1000 and up). If you’re on a low budget, don’t worry. Check out my treadmill review in Best Value for Money Treadmill.
2. Space and noise
I’ll tell you why this is important. Quite often, you’ll feel bored working out for whole 30 minutes without doing anything. Then, you’ll want to watch TV or plug in your iPod. That’s when you realize you can’t do that because the machine is noisy. Frustrating? That’s why you got to choose a silent machine. As for space, most treadmills these days are designed for easy assemble and they take up little space. Unless you have ample space to spare, go for a compact machine. Maybe you’d want to check out Best Compact Size Treadmill.
3. Horsepower
The performance of the machine depends on its horsepower. Technically, the motor does a heavy-duty job because it’ll run continuously as you workout. The higher the horsepower, the more powerful and resistant is your machine towards breakdowns. If possible, always choose machines with long warranty period (> 1 year). For some machines, you got to pay more for the extended warranty claim.
4. Stability and comfort
Never work out on a wobbly and badly-designed machine. During my earlier days, I’ve exercised on a jerky machine. I lost balance and fell down, hitting my face on the bars. Boy, I got rewarded with a broken nose for my ignorance. Don’t repeat the same mistake. Also, you should feel that there’s enough room for you to stride while your arm is free to move. The handle bars should be within reach.
5. Features offered
I’ve tried a few sophisticated treadmills and I’m impressed with the features offered. For example, some machines have workout programs to help you achieve a particular workout goal. If you are an advanced runner, you’ll want to explore more features to give yourself an optimal workout experience. Otherwise, if you are just starting on the treadmill, you can choose a treadmill with basic functions (which also costs less).

- Have you ever wondered why you can’t seem to keep to a regular exercise schedule?
- Do you beat yourself up for not being able to lose that excess weight even when you have the best exercise machine?
I used to answer YES to both questions until I made a resolution to lose weight before my wedding a few years ago (yes, men want to look good on their wedding day too). My brother decided to help me out by going to the gym with me. I’m grateful he did because I did lose a total of 20lbs before the Big Day. Since then, I’ve maintained a consistent weight and am happy with my body. Here, I’d like to share 5 treadmill weight loss tips to help you achieve the same (and even better) weight loss results.
1. If you have 30 minutes to spare, always choose to treadmill
Fact is, it’s very easy to lose focus and procrastinate exercise. You can have the best treadmill machine at home and yet left untouched for months. The rule that I keep to is “If I have 30 minutes to spare, that goes to my treadmill”. After that things got easier. I start to equate 30 minutes with a lot of things like (1) watching a sitcom, (2) reading 2 chapters of a book, and (3) learning basic Spanish conversations. I can do all three while working out on my treadmill and I’m a happier person now since I lost that extra weight.
2. Challenge your body to different workout modes
It helps to vary exercise modes to help your body burn more calories. Usually, varied exercise modes are found in advanced and sophisticated treadmills. For example, the Best Treadmill for Advanced Runners offers up to 9 programs to give you more workout choices. You can start off with a slow walk and pace yourself for speedier walks. You can even add in a sprint or jog element for stamina building. That way, you won’t feel bored with the same exercise. A treadmill gives you just as much workout variety as other machines.
3. Be in control of your workout time
One reason why people don’t visit the gym as often is because they don’t seem to have the time to go. With some gyms charging so much, it pays to own your own treadmill and work out at your leisure and convenience. For example, your daily 30-minute workout can be divided into two 15-minute sessions. At one point where I couldn’t make it to gym because of my extended work schedule, I’m glad there’s a treadmill at home. I can just wake up earlier each day to do quick workouts before heading off to work.
4. Workout all year round, rain or shine
One of the best points about indoor treadmill is that you can work out without a care of the weather. Whether it’s raining or snowing, you can still do your regular exercise. That way, you can maintain a consistent workout and lose weight more effectively.
5. Consider nutrition, sleep, and plenty of water to supplement your workout
Workout alone isn’t quite enough. What you need is intake of nutritious food, have sufficient sleep, and drink plenty of fluid to stay hydrated. That way, your body stays alert and burns calories speedily. In no time, you’ll see the changes to your health and body.
You got to have discipline and maintain consistency in workout to lose weight for good. It helps to pace yourself for each workout and don’t push yourself too hard. Hi there, I’m Philip. Are you looking for the best treadmill to buy for your mini gym at home? Or don’t have the time to go to the health club so you want to workout at home whenever the chance arises? No matter what your reason is, if you are wondering which is the best treadmill to buy, my Best Treadmill reviews blog will give you some idea.
My brother and I often hang out at the local gym, and we prefer the cardio training machines to the muscle-building types. The treadmill is one of our favorites, of course. We would spend weekend afternoons treading the miles and all the while chatting about our families. Sometimes we would compete and try to break each others’ record.

Of course, I can’t just rely on weekend workouts to beat him; I need to keep my heart rate going as well on weekdays, but it’s just too time-consuming to pack up and go to gym everyday. So I bought a treadmill. I started off with a cheap one, because I wondered how diligent I would be to keep to my exercise schedule. After a year, I traded it in for a higher quality treadmill, as I know I will get my money’s worth out of it.
If you still haven’t started exercising, the treadmill is a good machine to start on. It is easy and involves no learning curves, because all you need to do is walk, jog or run on the treadmill.
Treadmill workouts are better than going out for walks or jogs in the way that you don’t need to worry about bad weather, uneven road surfaces, or dangerous neighborhoods. And it provides some shock absorption that would be better for your joints (ankles and knees) than running on the road. Plus you can read or watch TV while working out.
Most treadmills have a display that shows you your heart rate, calories burned, step count or more, which may or may not be accurate, depending on the quality of the machine. However, you still get your workout no matter what it says.
